About Bethany Jordan CVT, CDT

As a child growing up on a small farm in Central Florida, Bethany taught her horse to ring the doorbell to get an apple and then, much to her parents’ distress, she gave her horse a tour of the house. It surprised no one then that Bethany would devote her life to her love of animals.

After earning a degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Florida and becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Bethany accumulated an impressive resume’ including three years as the Head Technician at an animal clinic, two years as a Surgery Technician with the Veterinary Heart Institute, two years as the Emergency Technician at Affiliated Pet Emergency Services and 2 years as the Medical Director at an animal refuge. Her reputation and growing expertise was then noticed by the University Of Florida College Of Veterinary Medicine where she spent 4 years as a Senior Floor Technician responsible for teaching students pursuing Veterinary Medicine degrees.

Missing the country life of her youth, Bethany relocated to the rural panhandle of Florida a few years ago where she surrounded herself with animals (all rescued) including a horse, 3 calves, 3 goats, 3 cats and 2 dogs. Her most recent addition to her growing family of critters is her dog “Stretch.” Working with local animal rescue groups Bethany saved Stretch from being euthanized because of a severely damaged leg. The leg had to be amputated but, after a lot of tender loving care, “Stretch” does more on three legs than most of us do all day. Bethany remains very active assisting local animal rescue groups and shelters.

It was through her experience with animal rescue groups and shelters that Bethany saw the waste when an otherwise fantastic pet had to be euthanized because of behavioral problems that she was sure she could fix. So on top of her veterinary medical training and expertise Bethany decided to direct her passion for animals to behavioral issues. Bethany says that her goal is “to improve the ‘owner-pet’ bond and the quality of life they share.” She is also committed to helping make shelter and rescue animals more adoptable through proper training.

Bethany brings incredible drive, passion, experience, and knowledge to her business and the animals in her care.
